Northern Lights

Upon arrival in Iceland, your transfer will be waiting for you once you have cleared customs. You can enjoy a shuttle transfer from the airport to your hotel in Reykjavik while taking in the stunning volcanic landscapes of Iceland. GOLDEN CIRCLE TOUR & Viking Dinner

Geysir

Today, we will embark on a journey to explore the wonders of the Golden Circle. Our first stop is Thingvellir National Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique place is home to the oldest national parliament in the world, the Althingi, which played a significant role in the history of Iceland. As we stroll through the park, we will witness numerous crevices that bear testimony to the drifting apart of the North American and Eurasian continental plates.

Next, we will visit the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, also known as the Golden Falls, which is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. We will also explore the active geothermal area of Haukadalur, which is home to the most active geyser, Strokkur, that erupts hot water up to 25 meters into the sky every 5-10 minutes.

We will then enjoy an early dinner experience at the Ingolfsskali Viking Restaurant, a charming eatery that offers an authentic Icelandic holiday dinner. This will transport us back to an era where nature served as the primary inspiration for cuisine. After dinner, we will head out to Faxafloi Bay to hunt for the Northern Lights. With a bit of luck, we might get the perfect picture of the majestic Northern Lights and the City.

City Walk tour - New Year's Eve Celebration

Sun Voyager

Today you will join our guided Reykjavik City Tour and get to explore the highlights of Iceland's exciting capital. During the tour, you will see the charming city centre, the parliament, the harbour, and the famous Hallgrimskirkja church, whose staple is a landmark in Reykjavik. You'll pass by the Harpa Concert Hall and visit the Perlan, a remarkable building and viewpoint.

In the afternoon you will immerse yourself in the enchanting holiday spirit of Reykjavik as you take a mesmerizing Christmas walking tour. As you stroll through the festively adorned Streets, you can discover Icelandic Christmas traditions along with unique customs and rituals that mark the arrival of the new year. You will also have the chance to try some traditional Christmas treats and beverages. The tour ends at 16:00 providing guests time to recharge and prepare for New Year's evening.

At 18:00 you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Perlan, where you will be greeted with a welcome drink and the option to see Áróra, the northern Lights planetarium show. The festive 4-course Gala dinner will start around 17:30 with wine pairing. After the dinner, there will be a music performance and a DJ who will keep the party going throughout the night. You will have exclusive access to the observation deck which offers a 360° view over Reykjavik's capital area. The deck is the perfect viewpoint to watch the stunning fireworks show. A transfer from the Perlan will leave every 30 minutes starting from 00:30

THE DAY AFTER - Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon

We will be leaving Reykjavik at 10:00 for a tour of the Reykjanes peninsula. This area is known for its stunning seashores, unique geology, lunar-like landscapes, lava fields, and charming fishing villages. During our guided tour, we will visit several remarkable sites, including the official residence of the President of Iceland, Bessastadir. We will also stop at other significant locations such as the Bridge between the continents, the Gunnuhver hot spring area, the Brimketill viewpoint, and the lighthouse at the edge of the Reykjanes peninsula, which is a UNESCO Global Geopark. We will have lunch at the Northern Light Inn restaurant. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Blue Lagoon, which is an oasis in the lava created by a nearby geothermal power plant. Here, you can take a dip or a swim in the mineral-rich, pleasantly warm water, which is well-known for its healing properties.

For our final meal, we will head to the well-known modern Icelandic steakhouse, Hereford. They are famous for their Culinary Experience, which celebrates a fusion of flavours in every delectable bite.
