Good news: Iceland is currently not a risk area. Iceland's borders remained open to other EU countries and members of the Schengen area during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Current regulations: travellers with proof of vaccination will be exempted from the test and quarantine obligation. Click here for more information. Iceland currently has the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Europe.

Since August 19, travelling to Iceland is possible with 2 corona tests and a 5- to 6-day quarantine.

As of November 23, the above entry requirements for Iceland remain in place until April 30, 2021. Regulations since December 1, 2020: the 2 COVID-19 tests are free of charge, and anyone who can attest with a medical certificate that they have already contracted COVID-19, and have completely recovered from it, or got vaccinated against it, may enter the country without any tests and quarantine. For more details please visit www.covid.is.
